Let there be war against poverty

India like rest of the world is changing fast. There is growth but this growth has led to increasing gap between higher section of society and under privileged section.

This disparity is the biggest injustice as well as cause of concern. On one hand people are living a lavish life and looking forward to smart homes and robot on the other hand people are struggling to find two basic meals. This disparity will lead to frustration and many problems including financial and social.

The time has come to declare a full scale war on poverty. And we must start from the poorest of poor.

Mission : War On Poverty

Government is doing and will do what it can to eliminate poverty. But that will take long time and is not enough. We, the people of India, must come together and declare war against poverty.

Philanthropy is rising and people want to help real needy people. This is seen as help to NGO, helping people on road, donations to religious places etc. But this is not well organized and big part of this useful money is going waste. In addition people would like to help more if they are sure that their money is being utilized for real needy people.

To do this we must identify and enlist those at lowest ladder.

- Identify and enlist poorest of poor families.
- Select Aadhaar Card of head of family and bank account related to it.
- Create a website and app for all these families starting and number them starting from lowermost to higher.
- Fix a bare minimum amount for basic livelihood, education, healthcare, sanitation and other most basic necessities.
- Let people / group of people / organizations adopt family / families and pay that minimum amount per month. People will have right to opt out of adoption any time and concerned family will go back to pool for adoption.
- Part of this amount can go directly to beneficiary family for food and other basic needs. Another part must be pooled to provide healthcare, education, skill training by specialized NGO along with government schemes. For example government can enlist poorest of poor families and similarly poorest of poor villages. Government can then along with NGO's target such families and villages and lift them out of poverty.
- Skill training and small scale business development must be essential part of this scheme so that once a family is out of poverty trap it does not fall back into it.

Nation can thrive only when there is harmony. Economic harmony is crucial for creating overall harmony including social harmony. People will have less and more money depending on their ability to earn but no one should suffer from lack of basic amenities and lack of opportunity to fight and rise.

Let us be at war against poverty.

Law must serve purpose

Everyone agrees that triple talaq is against human spirit and must be stopped. But what is the way? Will making it punishable be sufficient? We have laws against murder and rape but they still happen. So what is the right thing to do?

First of all no government should make religion specific laws. It is against the spirit of constitution and equality. Laws must be universal and all citizens must be covered under it. Also there should be no emotional hype around laws. Law making should be done in a calm, careful and thoughtful manner. And finally, law must serve its purpose otherwise it will only add to chaos.

First we must consider what is the issue. It is an issue of rights and misery of women affected by instant rejection and separation. Purpose is to eliminate misery and maintain dignity of women. It should be remembered that this is not about religion, this is true across all sections of society. Dignity of every women is equally important.

How instant separation affects women? It is impossible for a woman of any age to come out and survive. There is issue of security, financial difficulty and basic accommodation and living. Therefore punishment may act deterrent in some cases but will fail to stop it as people will always find loophole. Another thing that must be remembered that relationship in most cases is already dead or at least spoiled. Compulsion can not keep any relationship alive and healthy. A person who does not honor commitment of relationship and marriage, it is better to leave such person. So instead of stopping separation focus should be on how women can have safety and dignity.

There is simple way to manage this issue

- Do not make religion specific law

- Registration of all marriages must be made compulsory be it solemnized in any religion or across religion any method or ritual

- Law should specify that only accepted separation will be one agreed by court or family court

- In case of immediate separation which is done by man and accepted by him it should be specified in law that woman will have right to live in the house till the matter is compromised or settled. Man must leave house and should be barred from entering house till final settlement. In addition man must immediately give a lump sum and monthly fixed amount ( and rent if house is on rent) for basic living. Final maintenance may be decided by court later. In case where man refuses to pay, there should be monthly increase in penalty. This power to release fund must be there with family court as well as women's commission. They should direct bank / employer of man for such release. Places where such courts and offices are not present there police station or even panchayat should be able to obtain such orders to bank / employer.

- Government can create smart phone app / helpline no where women can contact and obtain immediate relief. All they are supposed to do is call or intimate. It should be mandatory for women police and / or officials of women's commission to reach on spot immediately and make sure woman is safe and attains right to be in house.

- Acceptance of immediate separation by man is must to prevent misuse of power by women.

- Women must have a personal bank account with some kind of marriage insurance. Both boy and girl side must contribute to this insurance as lump sum premium. In case of any kind of separation, women will get this amount immediately. If marriage continues it should be converted into her old age pension.

- It should be remembered that ultimately dignity is to be earned not given. So women should not rely too much on men. Government and families must focus on women education and skill development.


Relationships are sensitive and disharmony is not uncommon. It is wiser to teach relationship values than using fear to keep relations intact.

Property must be linked to aadhaar

The decision not to link all properties to aadhaar is wrong and bad for fight against corruption.

Aadhaar must become universal identity for all citizens. It should replace all cards:

- PAN
- Voters card
- Any other identity card except passport

There is no fight against corruption until all loopholes are plugged. It is necessary to identify and link to owners every bit of
- Bank account
- Lockers
- Property
- Jewellery
- Company and business ownership
- Shares and bonds
- Vehicles
- Big expenditure, sales and purchases
- Credit cards
- Travels
- Foreign Exchange

In addition voters card too must give way to aadhaar card to stop bogus voting.

In fact the decision to link aadhaar to all properties should have been taken suddenly along with demonetization. Why so much time has been given to everyone who has undisclosed property? Most of the black money is not in cash, it is in the form of property. So unless every property is identified, the fight against corruption will remain a failure.

Are we serious against corruption or not?

If yes then why we are not linking aadhaar with property and other assets? And we must have
- Strong and free lokpal
- Independent investigative agency

In fight against corruption we can not stand on border. If we are fighting against corruption then it must be all out war against corruption or we should stop posturing so. In a country where people are dying from hunger and lack of healthcare what more is needed to crush corruption. Only question is - are we serious?

Job is to serve nation

"कर्मणये वाधिकारस्ते मां फलेषु कदाचन । मां कर्मफलहेतुर्भू: मांते संङगोस्त्वकर्मणि" ।। 

What is the purpose of election?

It is to elect people's representatives those who will serve citizens and nation. It is not to WIN and be too proud of that. It is this attitude to win somehow and at any cost that has resulted in degrading democratic values.

If elections are there to serve then those fighting elections will be humble and graceful. But if it to WIN at any cost then it is not for service but for ulterior selfish motives.

- Blame game
There is a tendency to blame others. Blaming others is only a trick to divert attention. If one is serious towards nation building and serving then one will check self, not others.

- Mind your language
Those claiming to be the leaders of nation must mind their language and behavior. Nation is following them. They must understand responsibility towards nation to instill an atmosphere of unity, love and harmony. Becoming bitter and using bad language or phrases only shows unhealthy mindset.

- Dirty tricks and lies
The moment one start to use dirty tricks to win election, one is not having attitude of serving people but a desire to rule people. Those who rule will not serve and those who serve will not rule. Dirty tricks and lies amounts to cheating innocent people and they are only for selfish motive. Win on potential to serve people, that is what great leaders do.

- Do not play with emotions of people
Nothing can be more bad than playing with emotions of innocent and poor people. They are already suffering a great deal. Do not ask for votes using emotional manipulation. Such emotional manipulations will only create bitterness and a divide in society. Leaders are not supposed to divide society.

- Media
Media is far from its duty of serving nation. They are taking sides of one or other political party.
Their job is not to praise or curse, push up or pull down any party. Their job is to honestly present facts without bias and let people think about those facts.

Arrogance, chest thumping, fake posturing be it nationalism, secularism, false propaganda is not for those who wish to serve nation. Remember people of India may not be rich but are not low in intelligence. They are innocent but not emotional fools.

 The job is to serve, not rule.

"कर्मणये वाधिकारस्ते मां फलेषु कदाचन । मां कर्मफलहेतुर्भू: मांते संङगोस्त्वकर्मणि" ।।

Brave must stand for truth

It is not brave to harass, hit, beat, threat or kill innocent.

Real brave are those who protect others and stand firm for truth and justice.

Unfortunately bravery in nation is a lost word. Only soldiers fighting for nation and against terrorism are few brave left. Rest it seems have lost their spine. Most unfortunate is to see a community known for bravery now using threat and violence as a symbol of bravery. Where has bravery gone?

We hardly see any bravery, we hardly see people standing against crimes against innocent people especially women and kids, against sexual harassment, rapes, against innocent people being hit and killed, against injustice in society.

Who is talking about bravery in a nation when a part of motherland is occupied by neighboring countries? It is shameful and disgusting to see crowds against a movie but none against injustice, none for nation, none for humanity, none for peace and harmony, none against corruption.

It is duty of leaders and government to lead nation towards truth, justice, humanity, freedom, equality. But sadly these are mere words today.

Indeed freedom of expression is for everyone, for those who say or create something and for those who object and oppose. There is nothing wrong in objection. But how can one object without knowing or seeing a thing? Why we have closed our brain so much? One has right to object but only after knowing the facts, one has right to object and protest but no right to violence, to threat.

There is law of land, there are courts to hear both sides and decide what is against the interest of people and nation. But this trend of deciding everything on streets through violence is sad and dangerous for nation. Do not harm nation in the name of pride.

The pride of bravery is not in threatening or killing others. The pride of bravery is in standing firm for truth and justice. This is what Mahatma Gandhi stood for. There is no one more brave than Mahatma Gandhi.

Check your conscience !

Money is energy

No nation can ever become rich by high tax system.

We should be very careful with money which is a form of energy. Positive energy needs positive atmosphere to flourish.

Some very basic steps we must ensure are:

1. Avoid wasteful expenditure of nations wealth. If some entities are going in loss be it bank or any other, it is better to close it. Let private companies do business.

2. Instead of mega projects invest money in smaller diverse projects. We as a nation need to have strong stability first.

3. Avoid big expenditure on display. Feeding and healthcare of poor people is more important than such displays.

4. Let tax system be a stimulant not a dampener.
- No tax should be more than 10%
- Income tax must be abolished.
- There should be no double taxation.
- There should be no other tax than GST. Other taxes like Custom tax, Property tax Tourism and other such necessary taxes should become part of GST.
- GST @ 1%, 5% and 10% should be there. Having 1% instead of 0% will serve big without hurt.

5. To recover NPA of banks from business houses, government must blacklist such business houses and directors. They should not be allowed any other business and loans till they return nation's wealth.

6. Government must issue RuPay Cards itself with 1% flat transaction charges to become credit card and debit card of choice for people. This single step will save big foreign currency and help in earning.

7. Government should not play any role in business except making simple to follow laws.

Let energy grow, nation will become rich.

Let us keep focus on real development

One is great by action and deeds, not by big words.

India is great due to its great civilization, its value system and commitment to humanity and peace. This is to be preserved but this must be done by real work. We must not forget that we still have a long road to travel.

There is a trend of becoming too loud and thumping chest. Defeating others has become sole goal. Unfortunately media is only magnifying this. They themself suffer from this as they are busy in projecting how they defeated others. We can not and must not shy away from real core issues. This is our collective responsibility. We must be humble enough to accept where we are lacking:

Infrastructure: Falling building, broken roads, crumbling bridges should not be part of India any more. Safety of people must be the topmost priority.

Healthcare: Nothing can be more shameful than to see kids die in ICU. Lack of proper hospitals and medical staff damages the root of nation's health. Healthcare must be free for lower and middle income group. Private hospitals may remain to serve higher income group.

Education: Biggest indicator of how nation is growing can be seen by condition of children. Kids getting assaulted or raped in school - is this the way to treat kids? What is the quality of education - are we creating intelligent human beings? Kids are merely memorizing and remain examination bound. There is no focus or time for learning. There is less need of memorizing and more need of application. Unnecessary syllabus must be reduced and children should be given time to learn to apply. Education too must be free for lower and middle income group. Private schools and institutes may remain for higher income group.Education must include following in syllabus:
- Self Care
- Management of emotions and relationships
- Time management
- Decision making
- Problem solving
- Stress management
- Manners and Etiquettes
- Life Skills like banking, basics of money management and investment, medical care, utilizing services like police hospitals and legal service

Crimes: Nation suffers if citizens are unsafe. Prevention of crime must get focus. Self defense and safety rule training must be given to everyone in schools. It should be part of curriculum. Similarly well trained counselors must be there for every kid to make sure their healthy development.

Poverty and Jobs: Poverty can be eliminated only by creating healthy work environment and jobs. Industrialization is entering a new phase or we can say we will witness another industrial revolution with growing robotics. This is both opportunity and challenge. India must catch this bus and at the same time meet challenge of job creation. 

Development is a cooperative work. We all must join hands in development of nation. Mocking and defeating others will not serve any purpose. Raise yourself to higher standards - this is the only way to serve nation. This is the only real nationalism.

Nation must get serious about children

This must change and this must stop.

It is disaster to see children getting killed, raped, molested, harassed and shamed in schools. No wonder to see kids opting for suicide games.

What is going on? How can we allow this to happen? Some says there are guidelines for kids safety at school. If it is so then why such incidents are happening all over again and again. Worst part is that in most incidents teachers are involved. This will destroy kid's and parents faith in school and this sacred institution which is the foundation of society.

Such incidents are horrible to victims and also to all other kids and parents.

Kids are sent to school not for mere academic goal, they are sent also for social and human learning. They are in the process of building personality. Just imagine the extent of damage to tender hearts and resulting in distortion in personality. Think of the kind of damage to society when such hurt kids will go out as adults. It is a devastating bad vicious cycle.

Mere formulation guidelines and issuing circulars are not enough. Nothing will change with that. We need comprehensive approach to this. Everyone needs to play active role - government, school administration, teachers, police and parents.

- Government must set standards of safety and school atmosphere for all schools be it government school or private. This must include verification of transport, staff, teachers, infrastructure including building design, boundary wall, separate and safe toilets, security guards, CCTV etc.
- School administration must comply with these standards.
- Police must periodically check all schools on these standards and submit report.
- Police must obtain satisfaction report from parents association that all standards are met. School license to be renewed only after such satisfaction report from parents.
- Teachers must receive training in children psychology.
- There must be standardized protocol against punishments.
- There must be both male and female counselors and there must be regular counseling of children.
- Small girls at least upto eighth standard must be taught by female teachers only.

Children are future of nation. How can we allow smallest hurt to such tender souls. They should get top most priority in attention and care. Like it is said - It is easier to make good humans then to try to reshape them later.

Hate will kill nation's voice

There is an unfortunate trend of debating freedom of expression Vs how much freedom of expression must be allowed.

When someone is attacked or killed for saying or writing something, it does not silence that person. It kills nation's voice. And on top of that if people start praising or celebrate the killing, there can not be bigger deed of damage to nation.

Hate will only kill nation's voice.

Most strange part is we celebrate Gandhi, his teachings and the path he has shown. But all this remains a show if we do not follow non-violence, tolerance, truth and kindness. Infact they have not killed a person, they have killed Gandhi.

So how should we deal with situation. A nation is great only if it allows freedom of speech and expression. On the other hand we want that nothing wrong, abusive or mischievous must be said or written which harms the atmosphere of nation. How do we establish balance between freedom and discipline.

There are simple rules to follow:

- Freedom of expression is basic essence of a free nation. We must not try to curb that in any way.

- There should be zero tolerance for violence of any kind be it physical or verbal, direct or virtual.

- There should be well defined law stating what goes beyond freedom of speech and expression. Those crossing the line can then be taken to court.

- Freedom of expression and speech must not be used as a political tool or as a weapon to hurt sentiments of people. It is right given to citizens and must be used with a sense of responsibility and self discipline. 

- Best solution is - let people speak. If it is wrong or hurtful, that person will himself or herself lose dignity and respect. Those who feel that something wrong is said or written can challenge the person on facts in media or social forums. People can the easily decide who is right who is wrong.

Let people fight with facts and arguments. Those who use violence of any kind are proven cowards. And India is not a nation of cowards. We even tell our enemies not use use coward terrorism. Come fight with us face to face. So do not be coward. Face the criticism and raise your argument with valid points. And if you do not have valid points then you must relearn humanity.

Checking mob violence

Riots and mob violence are shameful for any nation. We too have seen some such incidents. They are bad as they cause loss of life, injuries, crimes including rapes, loss of public and private property, a state of lawlessness and state of fear and panic.

All this is aggravated by the fact that those indulging in such mob violence feel they can easily get away with this and chances of being caught are less. Time has come that we approach these with new commitment and strategies. Some of the steps can be:

- We need strict laws and zero tolerance against mob violence. There should be heavy punishment for those who are caught taking part in such.

- If people are gathering for any purpose like public meeting, there should be three layer police check on arms and other objectionable material. People should be allowed only after Adhaar Card verification.

- Constant vigil must be there using CCTV and drone cameras. In case of any mob violence maximum recording must be done to identify and catch culprits.

- If violence has started, there should be immediate curfew and shoot at sight order to prevent any spread.

- Innocent people should keep hands over head. They should be rescued by police or authorized volunteers.

- Internet and mobile service must get suspended. Rumors must be immediately identified and clarified.

- Media must observe sense of responsibility.

- Intelligence reports should never be ignored. Cation is better than repenting later.

We can not stop public gatherings as they are part of our democracy. But we can prevent riots and mob violence. We must remember that such incidents are created and performed by people as act of commission. They must be caught and punished. Equally responsible are those who let these happen through act of omission. They too must be held accountable and responsible.

Do not mess with India

Those who think they can suppress, bully, threaten India to gain undue advantage, must wake up. By playing such strategies they are in fact harming their own cause.

No one can and should mess with India. They will get back what they do.

India has always played fair and friendly with other nations. We have valued relationship and given advantage to others. We have also tolerated mischief of others. This should be seen as sign of commitment to humanity, not a sign of weakness.

Every nation is important and has right to exist with dignity. There is no need for any nation to mess with others be it through bullying, terrorism, inching into others land, threatening with war, unfair trade or other such tactics. They have their own place and they too can live happily. Those using bullying and threats, terrorism, encroachment, unfair business or any other manipulative strategy must understand one thing very clear - They are dealing with leader of the future world.

Do not think that you can mess with India and still look for business and other gains. It is time to gain some good sense. People of India have sharp memory. They clearly note and remember what is done to them. And remember, relationship is a two way process with mutual respect and fairness. Also remember every nation share equal responsibility of peace and humanity. Your attitude and actions will have serious long term repercussions. 

India is for peace and humanity. India also is committed to defeat all evils. Wake up and learn to behave with dignity

Let sanity prevail

Do not play with emotions and pride of people.

Shouting, blaming, abusing and similar will do no good for nation. And this is true even if some people do it in the name of good cause or nationalism. Be sure about it. You are doing no good to nation or humanity. You are infact doing just the opposite - damaging the nation and humanity.

People often get overwhelmed but we have to be very prudent when it comes to nation and nationalism.

Get the facts right, be sensible and honest in approach and then say or do something.


About Kashmir
- Kashmir is integral part of India and will remain so. And this includes part occupied by Pakistan and China. Entire nation is one on that and is committed. We will get part of our motherland back, for sure. But for this we need to have united voice and result oriented approach.
- Our army and entire defense force is one of the best in the world. And they know their job well. They know how to keep nation safe. They know what to do, when to do and how to do. They have respect and support of entire nation. No one needs to tell them what when and how to do. We salute our forces. When neighboring nation is playing evil tricks, our forces know how to respond.
- We too need to play our role well. We must set our house in order. We need to speak in one language. We should not play blame game for selfish interest. Our borders must be secure to eliminate infiltration. We must have more effective intelligence to trace enemies within.
- When it is known that unrest is sponsored financially, we must find out who is financing unrest. Why banks are being looted?
- We must feel responsible when we post anything in social media. Nothing should be written or posted that spreads divide, hatred or bitterness.
- News channels must refrain from taking sides and creating disharmony. This is exactly what enemies want. Do not fall prey to them. Nation is strong united. News channels must not create divide.
- Article 370 must go. All political parties must come on same page on this. Status quo is detrimental. Let there be no half hearted or piecemeal approach.
- We need both approaches to run together. Strong action to punish who are in illegal activity, fueling unrest as well as making sure that innocent are saved. There must be dialogue not with fake leaders, but with actual residents of Kashmir including Kashmiri Pundits.

About nationalism and social media
- Be very cautious. Never play selfish game under cover of nationalism or presenting yourself of champion of nation, religion, language or even political party or leader. This is not only cheating the nation, this is a crime against humanity.
- No one should use abuses, filthy language, obscene intentions, threats or similar things under cover of nationalism. Do not give bad name to nationalism. If someone else is doing wrong then write against wrong action. Take stand against wrong but not by doing hundred times wrong.
- There is a tendency in some of talking big, thumping chest, insulting others in the name of nationalism or as champions of some religion, party or leader. Nationalism is not about thumping chest or shouting slogans. No one has right to question or certify another person's nationalism. How many of those who are shouting so loud on nationalism pay tax honestly. By cursing others you are proving biggest anti national. Two wrongs do not make right. We need to stop divide, hatred and bitterness. We need to speak in one voice. That is nationalism.
- News channels are also thumping chest on nationalism but do just the contrary. They too take sides, pass judgements and indulge in blame game. Loud, chaotic and senseless debates which are more about blame game instead on solution do more harm than good for nation. Their job is to put forward facts and let people debate about solutions. They must promote sanity and sensibility. But may be this is too much in asking.

Nation building does not take place by playing selfish ulterior game, shouting slogans, chest thumping or cursing and blaming others. We need to play our role with full commitment, be united, respect difference of opinion and work together towards constructive lasting solutions.

But for that we need to be honest with self and to nation. Are we ??

Blames must be probed

There is no doubt that it is crucial to bring wrong doings of anyone to surface and ask for appropriate action. This is helpful in checking wrong doings. But the manner it is being done, this is doing more harm than good. Some make allegations, media highlights it but the real action never comes. The purpose gets defeated. On the contrary this has become a negative tool to settle political scores. This is shameful and bad for nation.

There must be a standard protocol to be followed in case some people have some disclosures.

1. The allegations must be supported by documents and evidence.

2. If media is giving time to allegations then they must give equal and same prime time to defender so that they can put their defense forward. Media must not give their opinion or version. If they broadcast they must first broadcast a disclaimer and then broadcast it as it is without putting own headings. They must only broadcast from a neutral point of view without taking sides. They should not use question mark or hashtags showing support for allegation or dismissing allegation.

3. Allegation must be automatically converted into PIL where one putting allegation must submit all documents and evidence. The concerned authorities must submit their official version. Court must reach conclusion and if proved right then punishment according to law must be passed and if proven wrong then one who has made allegation must apologize publicly or face punishment as court feels right.

4. In case PIL not filed, one who is blamed should take proactive action and file a case to dismiss allegation along with warning and / or punishment to one who has blamed for baseless allegation and media for broadcasting such baseless allegations. Media must then print and / or broadcast apology for becoming part of such baseless allegations.

5. Similar protocol must be set for spreading false allegations on all mediums be it print, internet, social networking sites, whatsapp groups etc. Those posting or sharing such allegations must be equally accountable.

6. All political parties must issue their official stand on allegation if they decide to speak on it and that should become part of court case.


We must remember that just like home, nation too has an atmosphere. If we spoil the atmosphere then that is harmful for nation. We all have responsibility to keep nation's atmosphere healthy and positive.

Modernize Police

The time has come.

Police needs attention. There should be holistic approach to make police nationwide in tune with today's difficult times. Remember that nation can not take service of armed forces for granted to be used within nation. We must be well prepared for time when armed forces are needed at border and we have equally tough police force to tackle all possible situations within nation.

Time has come for police to get equally trained and equipped like armed forces.

Few points are must if we need strong and effective police force:

- There must be independent commission for police force to look after selection, training and service activity. This body must be autonomous and free from political influence. 

- They must be trained like armed forces for mental and physical fitness, toughness, alertness and action.

- They must receive high intensity combat training.

- They must get equipped with latest technology and equipment. 

- They must get training to act like professional army.

- They must receive satisfactory remuneration.


Police is responsible for crime control as well as social harmony. Both are crucial for development of nation. Effective and efficient police means peace and low crime rate.

It is always said that those doing wrong are always raising their game. Time has come for police to raise their game higher than those on wrong path.

Change is must for change

Status quo will not help, not at all.

Why we do not see any change?

Governments come and go, leaders come and go, parties come and go. But we see no change. All we see is election after election, fake promises, blaming and cursing, chest thumping but no change.

- Terrorism and Naxalism continues
- Hate and crimes continues
- Poverty, hunger and suicides continues
- Corruption continues
- Lack of development continues
- Lack of healthcare and education continues
- Joblessness and economic disparity continues
- Lack of security and justice continues

We are said to be one of the largest and fastest growing economy in the world. But if we can not feed and provide basic health and education to people then what is the point in making such big claims?

Why things do not change?

Reasons are many:

1. We are election obsessed. All our focus is on fighting and winning elections.

2. Leaders do not have vision and mission. They fail to inspire nation.

3. There is no attention to improving and strengthening core system.

4. There are many bottlenecks. Policies are not uniform across nation.

5. We talk too much and too big but act too little.

6. We have more political loyalty than nation loyalty.

7. Disharmony undermines everything.

8. Biased media is doing more harm than good.


How can a nation grow without vision and mission. How can a nation grow without harmony. How can a nation grow without strong core system. Result is for everyone to see. We need to be honest to ourself. Instead of boasting about past and thumping chest about little activity, we must come together as nation and do some real work.

Few steps are of utmost necessity. 

- We must have a vision and mission for unified and glorified nation.
- We must respect our diverse and secular soul. Harmony is the foundation on which nation grows.
- We must focus on education and healthcare in a big way.
- We must focus on rural development and agriculture development.
- We must promote entrepreneurship in holistic manner. Mere giving loans is not enough. 
- We must strengthen core system. We must have independent commissions for Internal Security, Lokpal, CBI, Judiciary, CVC, CAG, Police, Bureaucracy and Media.
- Elections must be held nationwide once in five years for Loksabha and all state assemblies including municipal, Zila and Panchayat Parishad. . No person on post should take part in elections.
- Curbing corruption must remain topmost priority with zero tolerance. There must be complete transparency and accountability.
- We must have specified targets in terms of all International Indices.


Path and Goal is clear. Point is we will walk the talk or just talk the talk.....

Making of a Rashtra

Rashtra Nirman is sacred goal for every citizen.

We are because nation is. So without doubt or hesitation every individual must make best effort and contribution in nation building.

But there must be a sincere and wise vision how we wish to see our nation.

Soul of India is diversity and pluralism. Any attempt to impose singular ideology will damage the soul of nation.

Some people talk and promote a particular way of living, eating, dressing as nation building. There is talk about naming nation with a particular religious ideology. In the process we see hate speech, violence and use of power. Is this nation building?

Those who talk about nationalism and nation building must be very thoughtful, sensible and responsible in every word and deed. You are shaping identity of this great nation which is not just another nation. This nation is a great and oldest civilization. This nation has proved to be spiritual leader to the world. This nation has shown path of peace and brotherhood to humanity. You must not do anything to blot the soul of the nation.

Before we say or do anything, we must be accountable for

- We are shaping identity of nation
- We are shaping image of nation in the world
- We are giving atmosphere to future generations

There are many rogue nations in this world. They are powerful too. And indeed they have caused wrong to us. But this does not mean we need to follow their footsteps. We need not forget philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. Remember real power is not in anger, hatred or violence. Real power on which world survives is in truth, peace and love. And this does not mean we should not become strong economically or in ability to protect our land. We must become strong to defeat all evil designs. For this most basic thing we need is internal harmony and unity.

All our words and deeds must satisfy basic criteria of a strong, successful and happy nation

- There should be no hate, violence or use of power against anyone
- Sarwjan hitaay Sarwjan sukhaay must always be the mantra
- No one should feel hurt or oppressed
- Unity and harmony should not get affected
- Real focus must remain on elimination of crimes, corruption and poverty

These must remain test of nationalism and nation building. Anything that satisfy these criteria can then be promoted. Anything that does not satisfy these criteria, is against the concept of nation and is anti national activity. Infact any word or act that goes against these criteria is straightaway helping the enemies of nation.

No one should be casual with nation or impose anything that goes against Spirit of India. Beware ! In the name of nationalism, do not help enemies of India.

Solution to future

Solution is there.

India Pakistan and China can resolve dispute to a peaceful brighter future.

- Both Pakistan and China must return part of Kashmir occupied by them.

- China must stop claiming any land in Arunachal Pradesh

- India can in return help both Pakistan and China gain financially in trade

Culture Vs Law

There will always be issues relating to culture and traditions which will come face to face with law. One must be careful in handling such issues. One such issue is Triple Talaq.

Whenever such issue arises, first thing to see is how this issue clears the test of humanity. Culture and traditions are important but not more than humanity. No culture or tradition should ever do anything that hurts human rights or take away their dignity. Since everyone is clear that Triple Talaq causes deep anguish and pain to women, it is unjust to them.

There should be no hesitation in declaring immediate complete ban on it.

But the issue does not end here. Divorce and separation is not new to marriage. A ban on Triple Talaq is only small part of bigger issue. If stopped here, it will not solve real issue and may give rise to more problems.

- Will it solve marital disharmony
- Will it end greed which is one of the cause of marital disharmony

The answer is no.

No marriage can be kept by force or law. Infact any such attempt will lead to bigger bitterness and poor family atmosphere which will have devastating effect on both partners, kids and other family members.

To actually solve issue which can lead to happy families some necessary steps must be taken.

- Progressive rational people from community must come forward and they must themself denounce Triple Talaq to show correct path to future generation.
- There must be proactive counseling process to resolve issues amicably. Most cases can be resolved without any need for bitterness.
- Relationship is always mutual. The most important thing is dignity of women. This can only be achieved by empowering women. There must be education, skill training and support so that no woman should feel helpless.
- Remember that divorce is better than bitter marriage. The legal divorce process must be made simpler and quick so that those who are unhappy in marriage can legally seek separation and restart their life.

Why should women stick to a marriage in which they are not getting due respect. Women should get strong enough to walk out such marriage even before other can utter the word. In fact women are strong, they just need to realize this. Women are capable of handling office, home, children and all other tasks with much more efficiency. All they need is timely education and skill training. And they will never plead against divorce. It is for men to understand value of women in his life. This is what we need in our value based education. The day man and woman learn to value each other, all such problems like divorce and harassment will end.

Unslave yourself

Nation is as good as citizens are.

To be a great nation its citizens must be developed and progressive. Citizens must get rid of slave mentality as first thing in this direction.

Nation was under occupation of invaders for centuries. Unfortunately even after attaining freedom people have not attained true freedom. One must attain freedom of mindset first. We still get easily slaved. This slavery is even more dangerous because we do not even realize. We feel we are free but not. Mahatma Gandhi fought for mental freedom much more. All his agitations were towards making people free, selfless and fearless.

- Political Slavery
We become mentally slave to our favorite political party. There is nothing wrong in having a particular ideology. Democracy has place for all ideologies. But to have loyalty to a party more than loyalty to nation and humanity is no less slavery. We support our favorite party even if they do wrong and oppose others even if they are right. Just like people, no party can be always wrong or always right. We must have wisdom and courage to clearly see right and wrong keeping nation and humanity in mind. In fact the best state of democracy does not need any political party. If we see political parties have done more harm than good. They divide society on political communal caste region and other such lines, creates bitterness for opposing them, protect own corrupt and wrong doers, promotes nepotism and more. Why do we need political parties. What we need is to send good representatives to parliament, assemblies and other such bodies. Electing sincere, honest and capable independent candidates will do much better work. We need to have candidates who will be

Samjhega - Must understand people's needs and problems
Karega - Must make best sincere efforts to remove problems and improve conditions

- Media and Social Media Slavery
Nothing can be worse than this. Technology should help people in becoming wise and free. This is happening just opposite. It is amazing how they take moral high ground and act just contrary. People believe anything that is shown or written. There is no accountability, no authenticity. Fake and false information spreads like wild fire. Media and Social Media gets manipulated to serve vested interests. Even News Channels show clear inclination to serve political interests. The fairness, objectivity and service to nation and humanity is found lacking. They promote one particular party and denounce others. Social media is one step further. Fake information, manipulation, contempt even abuses are common. Where is loyalty to nation and humanity? This question is probably no more relevant for people. Then we try to put down each other on nationalism and patriotism.

- Slavery to greed and self interest
There is difference between becoming successful and being successful irrespective of means and methods. In pursuit of success, people forget that we are part of nation and humanity. All our actions have impact on condition of both nation and humanity. One may realize this or not, may get challenged or caught or not, the truth is we are shaping our own destiny. This slavery to greed and self interest pushes us to evil designs. In the process we create injustice & disharmony leading to crimes, unrest and division. This is the root cause of slavery to community, caste and region based interests.

We must understand merely throwing out external invaders is not sufficient. We need to have a free mindset which is wise, open, progressive, rational and fair. Only then we can say that we have attained freedom.

Keep harmony in mind

The issue of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya must be dealt with utmost care and responsibility by all concerned. As said by CJI himself it is issue of faith, sentiments and also concerns harmony in nation. Future of nation is at stake.

In such issues the biggest cause of concern is hurt emotions and feeling of injustice. Therefore solution to this issue should not be limited to legal base but must include human aspect as well.

First and most important thing to do is to look at each other with love. Since it is more about emotions, no one should say or do anything that can hurt anyone at all. Understand that we are not trying to solve issue against each other, we are trying to solve issue among us. We are not trying to snatch anything from anyone, we are trying to see what we can give.

The only possible solution is

Those seeking Ram Mandir must request the other side to make a sacrifice and give them the place. Those seeking Masjid must accept this request and build Masjid at a suitable nearby place. Nationwide consensus should be built to this effect.

Why this is the only solution:

- It avoids hurt. Since it is a request for sacrifice, it avoids hurting sentiments. Any speech or act of force will be seen as injustice and will have bad implications for entire nation.

- It is a matter of faith for both sides. Those seeking Ram Mandir say Lord Ram was born there. Those seeking Masjid say Masjid was established there and we need to protect the Home of Allah. Agreed. Now the difference is those seeking Masjid can relocate Masjid if they do it willingly and that will make no difference to status or auspiciousness of Masjid. But birth place can not be relocated. There justice says that those seeking Ram Mandir are more just.

- The legal case on demolition of structure can continue and everyone must respect the judgement of court.

When it comes to solution, it is simple. What is moving us - Love for nation and each other Or Feeling of hurt, distrust and hate.  Only love has ability to solve issues. Hate has never solved anything till date.

EVM or Ballot Paper

What is better?

Issue is too important to be either blindly accepted or completely ignored. And it is important because of what is at state - Fairness of election process which is root of democracy.

One can raise doubts but should not make allegations without evidence. It is true that with growing times use of technology is right thing to do. At the same time it is necessary to ensure and assure flawlessness and fairness. One must not forget that there are many countries which have the capacity to do through EVM but do through Ballot Paper.

We must continue with EVM but to ensure and assure flawlessness and fairness we need to take certain steps.

1. Periodic audit of the system by independent internationally reputed body.

2. VVPAT must uniformly across nation.

3. Random checks during elections

4. Collection of VVPAT papers within voting booth in ballot boxes in some test constituencies. These constituencies must not be decided beforehand and every party must be given right to select some on the day of election. These VVPAT papers can then be manually counted and tally with e-counting of votes.

Let there be no doubt about fairness of elections. Do not brush aside complaints. On the other hand take complaints seriously and improve system beyond doubt.

People must have fair representation

The representation of people in State Vidhan Sabha and in Centre Rajya Sabha is nor fair and is unbalanced. A large section of society go unrepresented. And this defeats the basic goal of democracy.

First see current scenario:

There are state elections and center elections. At both places we elect representatives in constituencies who may win by one vote or five lakh vote. Due to this a difference of 2 - 3 % of votes can cause large number of seats won by one party and therefore a large section of people go unrepresented. To add to this unfairness these elected people further lead to representation in Rajya Sabha causing further unfairness to big sections of society. This must be corrected.

To correct this unfairness and imbalance two things must be done.

1. In Center

During Lok Sabha elections representatives are elected by any margin. This may stay as such. But Rajya Sabha must be constituted at the same time on the basis of vote share of every party. This will give proportional representation in center. Alternatively Center Rajya Sabha may be constituted on the basis of State Rajya Sabha. Center Rajya Sabha members must not be on the basis of State Vidhan Sabha.

2. In State

Like in center in state also Vidhan Sabha may have representatives elected by any margin and form government. To have balanced representation, state too must have House of Seniors or Rajya Parishad with representatives on the basis of proportional vote share. This Rajya Parishad must have same role in state as Rajya Sabha in center. The existing Rajya Parishad in some states do not serve the purpose as they too do not show representation on proportional basis. Their system of electing MLC by Zila Parishad is as flawed.

3. Zila Parishad, Gram Panchayat and City Corporations must be for short duration like two years and should be totally free from party based elections. At this level decisions must be taken by majority of elected independent representatives.

It is very important in a democracy that people feel represented. Unfortunately today governments are being formed on vote share ranging 30 - 40 % which results in lack of representation of 60 - 70 % of population.  By adopting above given method we can have full representation in both states and center.

Benefits of this method

- Full representation of various sections of society
- Feeling of fairness and justice
- Law making and administration will have better checks and balances
- State administration will be more accountable and unbiased


Government is of the people for the people by the people. Therefore fair and proportional representation of people in government is as necessary as voting right.

Focus must be on people

Time to work

We waste a lot of time in elections and after elections in blame game. The entire purpose of electing representatives is to focus and work for making people's life better.

Elections should be small and routine process in democracy. The real thing is how efficiently elected representatives work. Let there be no bitterness. We are one as people of India and political choice should not affect this. Let there be any government. People must support whole heartedly and elected representatives across party line must work towards betterment of society and nation.

To make things more efficient there must be a system of ongoing assessment. It should be done once at beginning and then yearly at state and district level. Every government must publish, display and communicate parameters like following:

These must begin at the start of five year term and then yearly. At the end of five year term, there can be a comparative index. This will show how effectively and efficiently government schemes have worked. These must be communicated to every citizen by email or by phone message. This will help in systematically improving people's life.

Let us not waste a single moment. Come together and build a Smart Nation.

Do not create chaos over nationalism

Let nation stay warned, do not create chaos over nationalism.

This is playing with fire. It will get out of control and will harm the entire nation.

Get the facts right.

- No one is allowed to shout anti nation slogans or slogans about nation disintegration. That is not freedom of expression. That is anti nation activity but it must be stopped by due process of law. Government must handle this carefully so that wrong is stopped without any curb on freedom of expression. There should be well defined law, effective intelligence and police with speedy judiciary to completely stop anti nation activity.

- Violence of any nature be it physical violence or giving threat directly or on social media is absolutely wrong and this too must be stopped by due process of law.

- The young girl has expressed her feelings. There is nothing wrong in her feelings. Violence and abuse of all kinds must be stopped. She has done right and brave and must be honored for this. Those, especially some so called big names, mocking her must understand whom they are talking about. Her father made ultimate sacrifice for the nation. We must honor him and his family even if there is some difference in point of views. Nation is proud of her father's sacrifice. She must be treated like a child of Martyr. Nation is always in debt of Martyrs.

- Agreed that war is not good. India has never posed threat to any nation. It is our neighbor nation which wrongly occupied our land. War was imposed on us. We fought back rightly. Nation knows how to protect self. India has never been aggressor. In fact we have tolerated more than enough nonsense of neighboring nations. We could have taken revenge but have always upheld spirit of humanity. Neighbors must honor this to be in peace.

- Freedom of expression is there. All are allowed to express views, share opinions, hold seminars, stage protest and demonstrations. But we all must have self discipline not to take this for granted and do anything against national interest. Other side must also not indulge in violence or abuse even if they claim to be stopping anti national activity. Express and oppose let both be disciplined and peaceful.

Is this not what Mahatma Gandhi taught us ???

Lesson for everyone

This has provided an opportunity to everyone to do some introspection and to take lesson.

Mass demonstration does not mean it is right and just. 

One should not take it as victory of people because everyone has got defeated. No one wins when humanity and justice get defeated. Fake arguments can only satisfy ego. Nation stands wounded.

The only consolation is that demonstration was peaceful and decent. That sets example how it should be when people feel the need to come out and protest.

Unfortunately politicians, celebrities and even media wish to be on popular side and defeated humanity in the process. They should have shown the correct path to people, that is what they are supposed to do.

There is a growing fashion of speaking against activists to satisfy selfish means. Do not forget these activists are playing important role in keeping the humanity alive.

Arguments put forward are not valid and stands defeated purely because truth remains truth even when spoken by one and falsehood remains falsehood even when masses go for it.

- This is part of age old culture - Wrong, no culture is above humanity.

- This is not cruel to animals, we do not eat them. They are family. - Wrong, not eating them does not rule out cruelty.  There is evidence, video clips clearly show animals in distress and painful conditions. Do not pretend as if they are happy to be part of it. What if someone without your permission hold you and pulls you drags you by your hair. And then call it sport.

- This is a sport - Wrong, do not have fun by giving pain to others. Sport should never be cruel especially to animals who can not speak for them self.

- Why activist are not speaking against other similar sport or slaughter.  - Wrong, they are speaking against other similar activities and if some are missed then indeed they should take up those as well. And above all two wrongs do not make them both right.

- Outsiders can not understand our culture, do not mess with our pride - Wrong. Every culture, every religion, every language, every region has same place same respect. No one can take away pride. But no culture is above humanity and justice.

- Ban non veg food and slaughter too. - Wrong argument again. In fact it will be good for humans, animals, environment and entire world if non veg food is given up completely. It only gives diseases and harms world. Will you allow yourself to be cut and eaten by others? Then how can you cut and eat animals? Think before calling yourself human.

When humanity gets defeated, everyone gets defeated.

But this has given lesson to everyone, if ready to learn.

- Judiciary - When dealing with such issues and with large section of people, always call for opinion from all sections of society. They should be well represented and heard well. Ban is not a constructive solution.  Instead of ban, it should be seen how it can be evolved and regulated in humanity, constitutional and social point of view making sure that harmful aspects are taken care and responsibility is fixed for future.

- Politicians, Celebrities and Media - Bypassing court is bad tradition. Your job is not to succumb to populism. You must not give wrong solution just to please people. Do not belittle humanity, justice and constitution just to be on popular side. You must lead people to just solution in which people keep their tradition but in accordance with humanity, justice and constitution.

- People - Do not think this is victory. Will you decide everything out of court on streets now? How and with what face you will go to court for justice as you have insulted the temple of justice. For self respect and respect of culture and identity, self introspection and correction is first thing and honoring courts verdict is second. There are always ways where people can change cultural traditions in symbolic manner. There are good examples within nation. Evolution makes a person, culture, nation and humanity great.

Solution
People should have gone to government and court with fresh petition. They should assure government and court with a fixed regulation plan that how they will ensure that there is no cruelty. Event and animals must be filmed to make sure no one breaks the plan. Responsibility at every level must be fixed. Then with this assurance, court must have lifted ban. This would have kept dignity of all - people, animals, government and court.

Set your priorities - Humanity Justice Nation then others. Big talk and fake arguments will not make you or nation great.

Media, the Fourth Pillar

What is media, the so called fourth pillar of democracy in India upto?

This is typical example how various sections of India conducts itself in highly immature, irresponsible and dubious manner.

There are four pillars of democracy:

Legislature
Executive
Judiciary
Media

Who is responsible for deaths and suffering of people due to poverty, hunger, lack of treatment, lack of food and water, lack of basic amenities, terrorism, naxalism, crimes, corruption? These four pillars must fight honestly against these. Is media not one of the pillars?

If India is in such miserable condition then all four are equally responsible. Because if one is not going right, it is the duty of others to check and rectify. But the state of India and its people is proof of complete failure of all four. Unfortunately for the nation these four caretakers of the nation not only have failed but worse they do not want to accept and realize this failure. On the contrary there are strong and bitter reactions when such failures are highlighted.

Anyone can fail. It is not a crime to fail. But one must be humble in acceptance and keen on learning. But when one creates a shell of dishonesty, arrogance and lack of accountability then any hope of improvement fades. The most unfortunate aspect of this is people in these sections have the capacity to influence and destroy life of masses. It is sad to see media thumping own chest and arrogantly claiming 'great work' they have done for years. As if they have done some special favor for nation.

Nation needs humble, sincere, honest and efficient work from every citizen especially from those who claim to be caretakers of nation being in four pillars of democracy.

What should media do:
- People in media must realize the significance and responsibility towards nation. People of India are sensible enough to judge unless false information is served to them. Media must address to allegations of bias and wrong doings. They can not testify themself. They are responsible for fair, unbiased and unmanipulated reporting of truth and only truth that might be for or against anyone including media itself.

The quality of reporting and debates in Indian media is very low.
- The quality of language used is very cheap and lack substance and grace.
- Debates are often biased as if predetermined what to present.
- People shout and speak nonstop nonsense in debates. They all speak together so debate makes no sense.
- Fair balance of versions of opinion and time given is lacking.
- Anchor speaks too much and 'directs' the flow. They impose and pushes their own views. This is not anchors job. Anchors job is to start and let people speak.
- Channels present their own opinion and try to influence opinion of masses. This is not fair. Job of media is to report incidents as they happen, present views of both sides and let people form their own opinion.
- Channels are alleged to highlight, distort, conceal and manipulate facts to do 'character assassination' of some and create false image of others. This is very serious anti national crime. There must be fair and equal opportunity for all.

People of India are innocent as most still tend to accept whatever is served in media but they are not stupid. They need right information in right manner. Are we providing right information in right manner?

Is media sincere towards nation?   It is time for media to check their nationalism quotient. It is time for all four pillars of democracy to do some introspection. It is time for all of us to check our own nationalism quotient. True nationalism in action, not mere raising slogans or thumping chest and absolutely not about faking it.
News media is integral part of citizens of a nation. Same is true in India. It has big responsibility to contribute in nation building but unfortunately what people see today is a sad story of hyper commercialization in media.

There are few sectors like politics, education, police, judiciary, healthcare and media which play a major social role. These must be above narrow minded financial interests. Their accountability, transparency and responsibility towards society and nation are much higher. Just like we expect our defense services to be perfect, above selfishness and work whole heartedly for nation, people in these sectors are also supposed to carry same spirit. Defense services in India have done more than expectation. Their commitment and sacrifice is commendable but what about these other sectors. What have they done or doing towards nation building.

It is unfortunate to see the state of media. They are supposed to play a role of mirror reflecting reality as well as a role in connecting the people together. On surface they claim to be doing this but words are contrary to reality. People are able to see reality. The reputation is at a dismal low. It takes years of consistent honest hard work to build reputation which unfortunately is nowhere a priority for most in media. Their priority is TRP and quantum of sale. They all try hard to claim as 'most watched' or 'most read' or have some million viewers which is not necessarily a reflection of honesty, sincerity or quality. People of India are helpless in having few options of sensible, quality and fair media.

There are many allegations on media which destroys their reputation :

- Lack of transparency
- Lack of accountability and responsibility
- Lack of freedom
- Media is biased
- Paid news and paid presentations
- Paid surveys
- Sensationalism
- Low quality or cheapness in content
- Low quality of language used by anchors or presentators
- Spreading superstition
- Presenting own opinion as news
- Attempt to influence public opinion

Such reckless commercialization of this important sector is bad for nation. Those in media must realize their responsibility towards society and nation. Those who work negatively in selfish interest are like traitors. People must apply logic and wisdom to make sure that such hyper commercialization must be checked before it damages the nation.


A fair unbiased and dynamic media is need of the nation. For this we must ensure:

      - Ownership of all media must be declared regularly.

      - There should be no conflict of interest. If politicians, their supporters and corporate especially who are funding political parties have ownership in media, it is conflict of interest.

      - Foreign investment must not be allowed in News Media as they can be manipulated by vested and anti nation interests.

      - News channels and print news must be run on crowd funding to eliminate chances of bias.

Time to recreate sincere and honest journalism.
