Stop killing innocent children

What can be more devastating for a country than to see its children suffering from malnourishment and dying due to poisonous meals. The kind of food served to children is alone sufficient to put entire country to shame.

All claims of being a great country sound insane.

Heated debates, arguments, blames, demonstrations. There are sudden angry reactions but nothing happens. There is no improvement. Be it agitation against corruption and rapes, disaster in Uttarakhand, flood in almost entire India, naxalism, malnutrition and mid day meal deaths etc. This can not solve the problems that our nation is facing. Mere making of new laws or punishing few people can not solve problems of such magnitude. This is the time when everyone, politicians, bureaucrats, activists, NGO's and general population must come together to create a better system. It is the efficiency and effectiveness of a system that works and improve conditions.

First step is to understand that it is about collective responsibility. Every citizen must contribute. Every citizen must become honest and sincere in approach towards work. A commitment towards nation must come from within and it should get reflected in our daily life.

Second step is to create and put in a system which works better in a result oriented manner. Citizens must be involved at every step to make sure it works efficiently and effectively.

Remember - To create a great nation, action is more important than anger.

Set your path carefully

Supreme Court's verdict to allow Dance Bars in Maharashtra will raise a debate. With due respect to highest court of the country, we all must carefully see which way we are going. And this debate must remain gender neutral because just like men can throw money on dancing girls, women will be seen throwing money on boys.

Few verdicts which we must think about:
1. This one on dance bars
2. Public display of affection
3. Cross gender massage

Now combine with current status.

Recently teenagers were caught from a pub being served alcohol and hukkah and possible sex as reported. The rising sex and vulgarity in movies, availability of sex on internet and phones etc. What is our path?

We are fighting with cases of rapes, sexual harassment and sexual exploitation. Inspite of recent Anti Rape bill, everyday we come across rapes and cases of sexual harassment. There is no stopping. No one has any clue, any answer to these. That is the result of mindset of society. Degradation has no limit and time will prove this.

One plea is that it is about basic right to work. Yes all citizens have right to work but when that was put in the constitution, those who did it must have never imagined that such kind of works will ever come into existence. It is for both law makers and society at large to decide what kind of society we wish to create? Tolerance does not mean to accept everything without understanding the implications. Is this the only way of employment? Is this the right way of entertainment? What kind of mindset we are going to create in society.

Tolerable should be tolerated just like love marriage and valentines day which pose no harm to society. But such things which are going to create a path of degradation must be opposed but through peaceful and legal manner.

No need to blindly follow other countries. Modern society is possible with decency and self discipline. We can set brighter example for others.

The Nationalism Pledge of India

The Nationalism Pledge of India

(Take this pledge today and come together to make India No 1)

Today I pledge to be a good citizen of India.

I love my country. It has given me everything - a free place to live, to work and to create a good life for myself and my loved ones. I realize that my country is facing some problems and challenges. I pledge to commit myself to the nation and work in unity with other citizens to make India the most developed, most happy, most beautiful and the best place on earth.

-          I pledge myself to nationalism. I will love my country above everything else. I will never do anything that can ever directly or indirectly harm my country. I will keep national interest highest and will not allow any selfish or narrow interest above national interest.

-          I pledge myself to unity and peace. I will not hate anyone or discriminate on the basis of religion, caste, region, language, economic status or color. All Indians are my brothers and sisters. I will stop others peacefully who try to create hatred or divide among people on the basis of religion, caste, region, language, economic status or color. I will respect others and their right to live. I will promote the spirit of unity, tolerance and co-operation.

-          I pledge myself to develop self respect and respect of my country. I will respect other nations but along with other citizens of India will oppose strongly if they show disrespect to my country or my fellow citizens through words or deeds.

-          I pledge myself to fulfill my duties and responsibilities. I will sincerely cast my vote every time not on the basis of religion, caste, region, language, gender or choice of political party but only one basis of ‘goodness’ of the candidate. I will work hard to give my best to my country. I will contribute towards all round development of India.

-          I pledge myself to discipline.  I will live as a law abiding citizen ranging from traffic rules to higher laws of the country. I will respect and co-operate with authorities and institutions. I will stop others from breaking laws but through peaceful means.

-          I pledge myself to honesty and integrity. I will pay my due taxes on time. I will refrain from any act of cheating or dishonesty. I will be accountable for my spirit and deeds. I will always say NO to corruption.

-          I pledge myself to justice. I will remain right-minded and develop courage to make sure that there is fairness and justice around me and in society. I will fight against injustice but through peaceful manners. I will be just to my fellow citizens especially children, women and elderly.

-          I pledge myself to the culture of India. I am proud of its richness in culture and heritage. I will do the best to preserve and enhance the rich culture of India.

-          I pledge myself to wisdom. I will become aware and knowledgeable. I will live an organized life and uphold the system and organization in society. I will never create chaos or disruption in society. I will use higher knowledge towards own and country’s development. I will promote healthy lifestyle, happy family and friendly neighborhood.

-          I pledge myself to make a beautiful and clean India. I will develop good civic sense and will help others in the same. I will keep my surroundings clean. I will cooperate with other citizens and government to keep India natural resources and environment safe and clean. I will co-operate with authorities to make India a green and beautiful country.

-          I pledge myself to good work culture. I will become efficient and accountable. I will work hard to realize my best potential.

-          I pledge myself to help and support under privileged and disaster stuck to my best capacity.

-          I pledge to fight personal, social and national maladies like drugs, sexual harassment & rapes, rising crimes, blind religious faith, communalism, terrorism, corruption, poverty, over population, lack of education, inequality and discrimination, poor infrastructure, etc.

I pledge to be a Good Indian.

Peace will conquer terrorism

Sad and unfortunate. Terror strikes at Bodh Gaya.

All religions teach peace, kindness and compassion. This is even more true with Buddhism. India is fortunate to have followers of world's all religions. There may be incidents of disturbances but by and large people of India have lived together peacefully. People might have suffered but they have maintained the harmony and unity in society. This is the strongest message any country can give to the world. The message of peace and mutual coexistence through cooperation. All attempts of disrupting the spirit of India have always failed and will always fail. Through peace and kindness people of India have always defeated hatred, violence and terrorism. This is the truth and will remain.

PEACE WILL CONQUER TERRORISM

May God bless all with serenity and wisdom.
