Political communalism

India has suffered a lot due to communalism. The divide in society be it on the basis of religion, caste, region, language, race and other ways. The lack of harmony affects the national environment and ability of nation to grow. But to make it worse there are two new types of communalism which are far more dangerous for the nation.

1. Economic Communalism
2. Political Communalism

Economic communalism is the state of division on the basis of Have's and Have not's. Beacuse of this many parts of the world is witnessing unrest leading to clashes and loss of life and property. A kind of system is created in which those rich get richer and those deprived continue to suffer. To make it worse there is manipulation of system by Have's in their own favor. All this is done by the 'privileged class' in the name of system, rules, order or even constitution. System remain unfair to poor. They suffer, feel frustrated which in turn result in rise in crimes, disharmony and unrest. No amount of force or false display of 'doing something' will prevent the sad and dangerous fallout.

Political communalism is latest evil. There are many parties and they have their own followers. People tend to forget that they are supposed to be loyal to nation, not political parties. Nation can grow only if its people are one. People become so blind to their whimsical party loyalty that they are not able to think logically what is in national interest. Or they do not wish to think to serve their personal interests. These people who keep own interest or interest of own party higher than national interest are no less than traitors.

Nation is moving in very wrong and unfortunate direction. This will prove very bad for nation. No prediction of being super power can come true unless people are not united and work sensibly to build a great nation. On the contrary unfortunate state of unrest and unhappiness will be the reality much worse than today. Unfortunately there are no right minded, sensible, developed people to drive it to safety and welfare. Those few there are not able to shed personal differences to steer nation towards harmony, homogeneity and wholesome development. They either feel helpless, hopeless or not interested. They at best work at their individual level which can never be sufficient.

Stupid debates on TV or internet like social networking sites or news discussion columns will never help nation. Get sensible now for nation's sake. There is a saying - 'Jis thali mein khaya usi mein ched kiya'.  With this approach nation and its people can never be happy.

People of India will not be forgiven to what they are doing to nation.

This is anarchy not governance

India is struggling with poverty, illiteracy, corruption, crimes, terrorism, communalism and other problems. People are dying due to hunger and malnutrition, people living in filthy conditions, eating poisonous food and drinking poisonous milk, breathing poisonous air, there is high rate of crimes, women are raped and assaulted, there are riots but no relief or justice. There is complete anarchy politically, economically, socially and most important morally. Such shameful state but who cares.

People of India are in such miserable state due to three major reasons:

1. People vote for corrupt, communal, criminal, casteist, money and power hungry, non deserving people and parties.

2. Media which is so often biased and distorts facts. Today people do not trust what they see on TV channels, read in newspapers or magazines and what is available on internet. Trust has been evaded. There are allegations of paid news, paid surveys and may be even paid discussions. Only interest is TRP and thumping chest to claim no 1 in country.

3. Those so called well wishers of nation and so called intellectuals who show as if they are talking and working for nation and have no self interest but they cause huge damage to national interest. This can be due to their concealed motive or less developed mind.

All this result in what we can see today as reality. India struggle to find respect in the world. Whatever attention India is getting it is due to its large consumer base. In all parameters of human development country score a miserable low and in bad parameters like corruption country score so high.

But who cares.......

Sad and shameful to see what elected representatives do in temples of democracy. They disrupt houses in their selfish interest displaying ugly behavior. They are going bad to worse.

Is this governance? Is this how a nation conducts itself? This is anarchy not governance. Is it not vital to set system in order before nation 'celebrate' Independence Day and Republic Day.


India needs nation caring citizens not party caring selfish people. 

How corruption eats nation to death

Corruption is a mindset of greed and lust for money and power. It is the root of all evils and problems. Corruption is not merely money damage, it eats nation to death. 

-       It creates unfairness

-       It damages the psyche of citizens

-       It damages the social fabric of society

-       It damages the spirit of nationalism and humanity

-       It damages the spirit of real development

-       It damages the spirit of excellence

-       It creates unfair disparity of resources including money

-       It promotes shortcut attitude

-       It promotes favoritism

-       It promotes lawlessness and crimes

It affects each and every aspect of human life. 

-          Politics: With corruption in politics, nothing can be right in nation. System, order, discipline, justice, nationalism everything flow top to bottom. If caretakers of a nation are corrupt then nothing will be right ever.

-          Institutions: Once corruption affects institutions, they cannot work. They are said to be backbone of nation and if backbone is faulty, nation cannot stand with strength.

-          Offices: People know the frustration they feel when they see corruption in offices. Even ordinary day to day work does not move without corrupt practices. This damages the working culture. Illegal works are done through corruption and this damages the quality and efficiency of work.

-          National assets like Natural resources: Natural resources are the lifeline of nation. Illegal mining, illegal construction and flouting rules and norms damage the environment and deprive nation of its natural resources. No nation can survive with damaged environment.

-          Police and Judiciary: Corruption in police and judiciary leads to injustice and rise in crime rate. Criminals feel easy and strike at will.

-          Healthcare: Corruption in healthcare can deprive people of service they deserve. This also leads to fake medicines, unnecessary investigations and surgeries. 

-          Food: Toxins in food and adulteration of food is all due to corruption. People today are drinking poisonous milk due to corruption. 

-          Inflation: Corruption leads to high inflation and high cost of living. Markets are manipulated and black marketeering results in high cost.  

-          Media: Media is supposed to be fair and unbiased. Corruption here leads to biased reporting and distortion of facts. People are losing trust on media which will further damage national environment.

-          Education: Favoritism, fake degrees and paid seats in schools and colleges all are result of corruption. Deserving students do not get due recognition and success. 

-          Jobs: Due to corruption deserving candidates do not get jobs or promotions. It can also affect need of putting right candidate in right position. 

-          Sports: Today India is nowhere in the world of sports due to corruption. Money to be spent on infrastructure and training all goes waste. Talented people do not get selected. 

-          Merit: Worst affect of corruption is on merit. Nations talent go waste and undeserving people take their position. This affects the complete quality of nation in all fields and resultant growth and development. 

-          Growth: Corruption kills growth. People learn to find short cut methods and lose the ability to work hard and give their best. 

-          Investment: Corruption spoils investment environment and to avoid frustration investors move away towards those countries with better track records. Nation loses investment and suffers.

-          Quality of life: Since corruption affects development of all aspects, it affects quality of life right from education, healthcare, infrastructure, justice, environment, work culture and even day to day living. 

-          Poverty: Corruption is directly proportional to poverty. More corruption more poverty. All the resources and money remain restricted in few hands. Major section of society suffers.

-          Crimes: Corruption promotes crimes of all kinds. It takes away fear of law and punishment. 

-          Black money, fake currency: Corruption damages nation by resulting in black money and fake currency. Nation loses crucial revenue. Nations loss is people’s loss.

-          Social negativity, morale: Corruption damages society. It lowers the motivation of right minded hard working and intelligent people. This results in frustration and low morale. Nation goes deep in a state of negativity and unrest.

How to eliminate corruption:

-          Promote fair elections to be funded by state. Only clean people should be given tickets.

-          Order flow top to down. Those in power have to lead by example.

-          Strict laws must be formed and followed.

-          Complete transparency and accountability.

-          Minimum cash. All big currency notes must be abolished.

-          Social identity number for all with details of history of irregularities. This must be available online for all citizens.

-          PAN must in all transactions.

-          Create awareness among people that how corruption is harmful for everyone. If nation suffers, no one can remain happy.

-          Reward honest. Those honest must get recognition and support to rise high. 

-          Steps  – Target zero corruption zero black money. Create online databank of all real estate properties, lockers, shares, credit card, bank account etc to eliminate benami or black transactions. Every single property, locker, credit card, bank account and share must have PAN No associated, let people claim them through self disclosure. All unclaimed properties, lockers, shares, credit card, bank account must be frozen and finally confiscated and go to government.  Any private business owner or professional or service provider with fake or no receipt must be penalized.

Faster judicial system is needed

Justice delayed is justice denied. It can not be more true seeing the status of justice today.

Justice is one of the fundamental right of every citizen. But people are not getting justice in time. It is unfortunate that millions of cases are pending in courts. Sometimes there are avoidable things in which dates after dates are wasted for unnecessary reasons or even intentionally. This can be easily addressed.

1. More frequent lok adalats.

2. More family courts to solve family issues.

3. Social courts to solve social issues and PIL.

4. Civil cases can be disposed in three hearings, each at a gap of one week.

- First Hearing - All parties submit complete list of relevant documents and written statements.
- Second Hearing - Arguments
- Third Hearing - Order

Any party asking for change of date must give valid reason with evidence and pay some fine. Case should not be deferred for next date for small reasons or excuses. Every date must be fully utilized.

If one party puts in all papers and say that this is all we have to declare then one opportunity should be given to other party to declare their documents and case must get decided on next date on the basis of available documents.

Reasons must be given in orders to show basis of order to improve satisfaction and feeling of fairness. This will reduce appeals.

5. Time bound investigations and Fast track courts in criminal cases.

It is often said, where there is a will there is a way. System can improve if sufficient will is applied.

How and what should we improve?

Glorious past of great civilization can make us proud but should not blind us from reality of today. Reality stares at us in every city and every village. We as a nation must get alarmed by the state of affairs. Nation has put itself in big mess. Frustration is rising. People are unhappy and they want quick results. Task is enormous. Big words and hot debates will not serve. Not even the blame game. There is loss of trust everywhere. 

We need sincere unanimity on basic elements of nation building. Let no ulterior motive create any false appearance of ‘Yes, We Are Doing It’. Let nation not fool itself anymore. We need to work sincerely towards: 

1.       Spirit of nationalism – Nationalism must not be confused with symbolism, beating chest or shouting loud slogans. Similarly we must not remain limited to past glory.   It is more about our concern what will our intention, thoughts, speech and deeds do to our nation. Always think about making contribution in nation building even though small. All that we need to do is live our life with sincerity, follow rules and regulations, excel in our endeavors and feel the pride in making India a better place. We need to develop our self as good citizens. We need to set higher national goals.

2.       Social harmony – No nation can progress without social harmony. India is a land of diversity and we often face problems due to differences based on region, religion, caste, language, racism, social status, economic status, conservative vs modern etc. We must eliminate evils like casteism, untouchability, huge gap in developmental, social or economic status as well as learn to honor each other’s way of life. We need to develop a tolerant and dynamic progressive society based on Live and Let Live.

3.       Leadership – Unfortunately politics has become a bad word today. And the reason is Politicians are available but Leaders not. Politics should not be about shouting, cursing, blaming, manipulation, power abuse, fighting hard to defeat opponents. Election should not remain limited to putting in one or the other party in power. That will serve nothing. We need leadership which is learned, decent, modern progressive minded, which can develop an efficient system for the country and can carry all sections of nation together. Leader must understand the people of India and their needs be of rural background or big city. A leader must show path by example. 

4.       Economics – It is not a number game. Before a nation desire to be biggest economy of the world, it must see that its people are getting the basic amenities of life or not. Recession can strike anytime. Employment must produce sustainability and opportunity. Wealth should not remain restricted in few hands. 

5.       Media – Media occupies a unique position. It reflects past, present and future. It shows what is going on and in the process also influences. A sincere and impartial media is blessing for any society but media with ulterior motive can damage nation building. They can do maximum damage to nation in their selfish interest. They show mirror to others and their own stories show mirror to them. They show as if they care for nation but no one can hide reality. Do not let money and motive harm society and nation. Those in media can not and should not stay blind towards its impartiality, accountability and responsibility towards nation. People should not blindly accept what they read or see. 

6.       Security and Justice – What can be said if in a country people cry for security, freedom and justice? A complete spectrum of law makers, investigative agencies, police and judiciary are under serious question. Every act of injustice and crime is a blot. Why it should be so difficult to work towards security and justice? Those indulging in crimes are responsible by act of commission and those who are supposed to protect are equally responsible by act of omission. We need to develop effective system involving law makers, investigative agencies, police and judiciary to create a safe nation with sense of security, equality, freedom and justice. 

7.       Healthcare – Too much commercialization has led healthcare to become unaffordable for majority of people. To make it worse there are recommendations of unnecessary investigations and surgeries. Networking to make commissions has turned it into business. This is criminal. We need better regulations to eliminate such evils. Addictions, pollution and adulteration of medicines and food is creating a category of sickness which has no treatment and will never have. 

8.       Education – The very purpose of education that is personality building and skill development stands defeated. It has been reduced to sole purpose of obtaining degree. That is sold at times either in the disguise of Donation College or at times without disguise. How will nation develop if such is the status of education?  Why we can not make more efforts in research? 

9.       Environment – We live in environment but we do not take care of it. We have most polluted cities with polluted water and even polluted food. Nature is abused beyond means. Nation is being converted into a dustbin. We need to bring this higher in our priority to protect nature and work towards cleanliness. Natural resources must be protected as life source.

10.   Sports – A fifth of world population stands nowhere in sports. Sadly not even in National Game. The ugly craze towards cricket has blinded nation towards other sports. And it is not lack of money or talent but lack of sincerity towards nation. A national shame.

One can see clearly that common element of all these is corruption. Such a state is created by vested interest. Why nation has allowed corruption to damage itself through its length and breadth? Is it lack of wisdom by those who use manipulation and corrupt means for selfish interest or lack of wisdom by those who allow nation to go in such a state? 

Turning a blind eye or brushing under the carpet and then feel that things are in order is a national crime. Those in comfortable position can take this position but they are the one’s responsible for suffering of India.  Even so called intellectuals are not able to think coherently, may be because it is not their suffering. How easy it is talk in sophisticated manner when it comes to pain of others. Ask them who are going through it.

People of India must decide. They wish to keep themselves in this state or act wise and timely.
