Right to live

It is time to have the most basic and most important law in India and it is

Right to live

Every day there are stories about how some people cross the legal and humanity barriers and act in a way that encroaches into the People's Right to Live. There are verbal, physical, social all kinds of assaults on innocent people. Occasions may vary but common factor is assault on people's Right to live. One typical example moral policing on valentine's day. Young boys and girls are thrashed for no fault of theirs. This should be stopped. It is nobody's business to tell how to live as long as it is within legal limits. What to wear what not, what to sing what not, what to see what not, what to write what not, which movie which not, which painting which not, which day to celebrate which not, how to behave how not, it is no one's business to get into.

These people may have some difference of opinion but by adopting to violence be it verbal, physical or social they are damaging India, Indian culture and dignity of citizen's of India. Their acts are against the vision of Mahatma Gandhi. If India has to grow as a nation, we have to keep intact age old principles of Tolerance, Non Violence and Peaceful Co-existence.

India must immediately bring the law Right to live with strict clauses that no one can ever encroach into other person's Right to live. Zero Tolerance must be adopted in any case of breach of Right to live. Such people must be immediately acted upon.

It is now upto the people of India to see how much they care for their own dignity, Indian culture and their country India.

India needs to commit itself to minimum human and dignified existence for its citizens with following:

- Right to food
(To ensure minimum of everyday meals)
- Right to health
(To ensure emergency and other basic healthcare)
- Right to education
(To ensure minimum of school education to every child)
- Right to live
(To ensure safety and freedom to live a dignified life without fear)
