Hope in anger

Country has learned to speak for itself.

The anger expressed by people of India against gangrape in Delhi in itself is encouraging in one way. It is good that people are raising voice against social evils. It shows that people are getting more and more frustrated with the bad conditions under which they are forced to live. People of India want to change this.

This anger is very much required if we need to make India a better place to live. And we need to make sure that this anger should continue until there are some concrete and effective changes. This anger should not remain limited to heated debates and demonstrations. Early trial and severe punishment is must in this case but at the same time that alone is not sufficient. People of India have to make sure that effective steps including changes in laws, fast track courts, improvement in security and mindset is achieved. Till then this anger should continue in a peaceful and constructive manner. It should remain focused and be well directed to achieve the desirable goal of betterment of society and complete safety for women.
